Recently I have been receiving notes and comments asking the same questions:
Do you do Requests?
Do you do Commissions?
The answer is yes to both. So I decide to post up a journal on information for how to get either of them.
I am open for requests at the moment. Getting one is a fairly simple deal, note me with the details and any references and we will talk about it.
Do however keep in mind that requests are optional and voluntary for me to complete. Which means that sometimes I might complete it in a few days or sometimes they might take me months. The reason for this is that once I get a request I add it to a “to-do” list. When I find some time in my schedule I look at the list and grab whichever requests grabs my attention and work on it. This means requests are not completed by order of arrival.
If you wish for something to be fixed or changed from your request I will note that as a new request and send it back into the list. And work on it as time permits.
Because of this I ask that you keep your requests somewhat simple, both as a way to make it easier for me to complete and as a courtesy to other requesters
With all that said, I like to complete requests for everyone since art is not a primary income for me but a hobby, so even if it takes me a while it doesn’t necessarily mean I have not forgotten. If I do not wish to complete the request I will do my best to inform you.
With all that said, feel free to make a request I will do my best do complete it.
I simply art for Art’s sake.
I am on the market at the moment, but I don’t have set prices. I rather leave the matter of compensation as a compromise or agreement between me the Artist and the Buyer.
You may use this for guidance:
A base rate for payment for single characters with simple background:
With Background $40.00
Add half the price again for extra characters.
(Samples of each type coming soon)
These prices are not set in stone. I am willing to go up or down depending on what you request and are able to pay. These terms of agreements can also be altered or changed to suit individual Buyers. I am a very reasonable person so do talk to me.
When making your commission please be as detailed as possible, send me any reference images you may have including pictures or personal sketches. Do include what you wish to pay in your commission.
Once we have and agreement on the type of work I’ll be doing and the final compensation. You as the Buyer will forward the compensation to the previously established account and I will begin my work.
I will sent you one sample image once the general sketch and layout of the piece is done and once the job is completed you may request any fixes, however if the work is on it's final stages any major changes may require additional compensation.
Unlike requests I finish commissions on a first come first serve basis and prioritize them over requests and any other personal works.
I use Amazon Payments with the email email@example.com as my primary method of transferring money. This due to the fact that I used to be in the US Army and every time I changed duty stations and used my Paypal, their company saw it fit to freeze my assets and after the 5th or 6th time I just gave up on them.
